Mrs. Claus loves bananas that Santa and the Reindeer pick up from farmer friends in the Philippines. She uses them for her Giant Donut Banana Bundt but if there is one left over, she puts it to good use in this quick, oat chocolaty treat!
Of course, for a quick cookie treat, you can always buy one, but after her number one rule, "Try everything at least once", she says if you can make it yourself ... "Never trade homemade."
Makes four cookies:
Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees F (190 Celsius) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Ingredients:
1 ripe banana (The riper it is, the sweeter it is!)
1/2 cup (45 g) quick oats
1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla extract
1-2 tbsp (15-30 g)chocolate chips
How to Make It:
-With a fork, mash bananas, mix in oats, vanilla and chocolate chips.
-Press flat cookie shapes onto cookie sheet.
-Bake for 18-20 minutes or until crispy on the edges.
Enjoy Warm!
